John Good, former ATA Treasurer, passed away earlier this Autumn.
It is no exaggeration to say that John helped rescue the ATA. John took over as Treasurer when we were in a pretty desperate financial situation because of some unfortunate occurrences. John took a disciplined, realistic, no-nonsense approach and was able to get us back to solvency in short order. John was committed to the ATA and was an active sponsor and participant at conferences along with his duties as Treasurer. John was serious about business but he had his fun side as well. I'm sorry I missed seeing him dancing in Amsterdam at our 2006 conference (Anna Melino remembers)!
John retired around 2009 after a long career at Flying Tigers and then FedEx as FedEx Charter Sales Manager to take care of his aging parents. He was a great Treasurer, a good man and a great friend. He will be missed.
