ATA works with government agencies, research committees, and various regulatory bodies to actively contribute to the development of regulations and best practices in all facets of animal transport. Organizations the ATA regularly works with are OIE, CITES, IATA LAPB, USDA APHIS, CFIA, and many more.
ATA members provide support to each other through their extensive body of knowledge of the animal transport industry. Questions about regulations, best practices, or assistance needed in solving logistical issues are solved through a network of organizations and individuals that support and advocate for each other.
Education is the heart of the ATA. Our annual conference, weekly Migrations newsletter, and quarterly webinar program are all facets of the industry-leading education ATA offers. Academic research, best practice manuals, and the latest industry news are provided to continue the advancement of the animal transport industry.
ATA membership provides members with a listing in our Member Directory - a public resource for consumers to find reliable and reputable animal transporters. We also source over 200 requests annually from the public looking for an animal transport service provider.
